Rebecca Szymczak, aka Cardsy B, author of The Saturn Diaries and tarot reader to the stars, consulted her cards and has tips for which signs are in a place to make big shifts and which should focus on nourishing themselves and their vision through this month’s Venus retrograde. She also has insight regarding new projects that can open up big doors following the full moon in Capricorn on July 3.

July begins with the buck moon on Monday the 3rd, which brings the successful, hard-working energy of Capricorn to tackle any obstacles. As the sun and moon meet with the new moon in Cancer on July 17, we can look forward to upgrades in relationships and team dynamics at work.

Whatever your sign, there are plenty of big wins — plus some key decisions  — to look for this month, so read on to see what the cards have in store.

Sign: Aries/ Aries Rising (March 21 to April 19)

Card: 7 of Swords

Understandably, you’re feeling a little impatient this month, Aries. There may have been stalls in progress over the past few weeks, but 7 of Swords reminds you that victory is around the corner if you stay on course.

Highlight: Help When You Least Expect It

If you felt that you had been very much on your own in certain initiatives, your hard work has not gone unnoticed. Look for increased support from colleagues and collaborators by mid-month as we approach the new moon in Cancer.

Heads Up: Irritability Meter High

7 of Swords tends to hit the accelerator on Aries’ natural “Let’s Freakin’ Go” vibes, so pause and breathe before responding to frustrating emails or messages.

Mantra:  Hold On, I’m Comin. – Sam And Dave

Taurus/ Taurus Rising (April 20 to May 20)

Card: The Page of Cups

Taurus’ grounded earth practicality makes them reliable leaders that loyally hold down the fort with unwavering determination. July brings a lighter energy on the career front and encourages some much-needed me-time. You might even consider using some of those vacation days that have gone untouched all year.

Highlight: More Fun on The Horizon

By mid-month, there are opportunities for more play, even at work. This could include more exciting accounts or projects that allow your creative and innovative side to shine.

Heads Up: Watch the Workaholism

The full moon in Capricorn at the beginning of the month may cause you to go even harder into workaholic mode. Be mindful not to be too bogged down by perfectionism over tedious details or you could miss out on other opportunities that are way more fun.

Mantra: It’s time for the good times.- Madonna

Gemini/ Gemini Rising (May 21 to June 20)

Card: 4 of Cups

You’ve had an intense first half of 2023, Gemini, but 4 of Cups reminds you that you’ve learned a lot on the journey, and as a result, you are more discerning than ever.

Highlight: Glow Up

New doors open almost effortlessly as you release old habits and self-sabotaging patterns you’ve identified in the past couple of months. If you’ve been seeking a new job more aligned with your goals or trying to land higher caliber clients, July is rolling out the red carpet.

Heads Up: Growing Pains

As new opportunities roll in, you may be tempted to go back into old patterns of procrastination and overanalyzing. Trust your intuition and discern accordingly.

Mantra: Moving On Up. – M People

Cancer/ Cancer Rising (June 21 to July 22)

Card: The Empress

Happy Birthday, Cancer. The Empress brings you a more nurturing environment just in time for your solar return. If there has been unnecessary drama and conflict that you’ve had to mediate, this harmonizes with the new Moon in Cancer on July 17th. This may also look like a new job offer for some Cancers.

Highlight: Calmer Waters

Whether this comes in the way of a re-org that creates a better team dynamic, or a new job offer with a much better culture, the harmony you’ve been craving is on the way in.

Heads Up: Choose You

You have a choice to make in which not everyone can leave happy (i.e. you receive a new job offer but know your work wife will be hanging on by a thread if you go.) Though Cancers are natural caretakers, it’s important to prioritize your needs in this decision.

Mantra: Choose Yourself. – Star Slinger

Leo/ Leo Rising (July 23 to August 22)

Card: The Emperor

Leos have the gift of dreaming big, but this month’s Capricorn full moon helps you take steps to put these dreams into action.

Highlight: Magnetic AF

You’re effortless charm, and assertive confidence has magnetized all the connections and tools you need to create an impressive new foundation this month. This can look like taking the initiative to lead a new project or even launching a new side hustle.

Heads Up: One Day at a Time

Momentum is on your side in July, but don’t get too lost in the bird’s eye view; the details are just as important. Break down your plan into bite-sized pieces, and you’ll have no problem staying in the flow.

Mantra: And I’m on that new vibration.  I’m building my own foundation. – Beyonce

Virgo/ Virgo Rising (August 23 to September 22)

Card: 8 of Pentacles

8 of Pentacles comes in this month to show that the extra hours you’ve put in behind the scenes were worth it. Even if it felt like no progress has been made in the past couple of months, the seeds you were planting are ready to be harvested.

Highlight: Make it Rain

July brings increased abundance regarding a new level and/or revenue streams. By mid-month, prepare to celebrate news of a raise or new client contracts.

Heads Up: Presence Brings Presents

Hardworking Virgos often complete one task to jump to the next quickly. Give gratitude to yourself for the big and small wins this month to attract even more abundance.

Mantra: Celebrate good times, come on. – Kool and the Gang

Libra/ Libra Rising (September 23 to October 22)

Card: Justice

Libras crave balance and harmony, and the Justice card represents this state of equilibrium. July balances what you’d like to see happen at work and actual changes you can implement.

Highlight: Making an Impact

Suppose you’ve been seeing ways that systems or projects could run more smoothly, utilize the air element of Libra and the Justice card to speak up. You will be rewarded for sharing your vision in more ways than one.

Heads Up: Don’t Overthink It

As one of the most cool-headed signs of the zodiac, Libras are great at considering all sides to a situation, but this can also lead to analysis paralysis delays. Lean into your intuition this month and trust yourself to speak up when right.

Mantra: Say What You Want. – Texas

Scorpio/ Scorpio Rising (October 23 to November 21)

Card: Ten of Cups

Ten of cups brings harmony within your team or department this month. If tensions were running high the past few weeks it feels like the full moon at the beginning of July released some old tensions and helped bring everyone back to the same page (or at least the same chapter.)

Highlight: Trust Your Intuition

Scorpios are renowned for being cunning and determined but also incredibly sensitive and intuitive behind their ambitious exterior. If you sense a teammate struggling this month, it’s worth asking if you can be of service, even if that means acknowledging and listening.

Heads Up: Balance is Key

Leaning into your sensitive side will help align your team, but keeping healthy boundaries in place is also important.

Mantra: I’ll be there for you. – The Rembrandts

Sagittarius/ Sagittarius Rising (November 22 to December 23)

Card: Ace of Wands

A new area of focus that has been calling to you has become much clearer since the end of June. Lean into this pull as you will be rewarded for taking bold actions toward this passion pursuit following the new moon in Cancer on the 17th.

Highlight: Surprise Allies

Sagittarians tend to move quickly and, as a result, often choose to “go it alone.” Don’t write off former mentors or allies that may not move at the lightning speed you do. Support arrived when least expected this month.

Heads Up: Allow Yourself to Receive

It seems this new area of focus, whether a new project or career shift entirely, will move more efficiently with the help of others. It’s better to be patient and allow yourself to receive advice, connections and guidance than trying to force a solo path forward.

Mantra: Hey look Ma, I made it. – Panic at the disco

Capricorn/ Capricorn Rising (December 22 to January 19)

Card: 9 of Wands

Capricorns, your strength and resourcefulness often mean that you tend to choose more challenging -but also more rewarding- paths. 9 of Wands indicates that abundance is coming in a powerful way by month’s end, but it may require more patience than you may like.

Highlight: A Well Deserved Victory Is On The Way

A big win in the form of a deal closing or a new contract is coming. By month’s end, you’ll see that your commitment and patience over the past two months are paying off in July.

Heads Up: It’s a Marathon Not a Sprint

Though you are already well on your way to receiving the reward for your efforts, the first half of the month may throw in some additional postponements (think meetings being rescheduled.) Don’t let initial delays break your confidence. Success is yours this month.

Mantra: Worth the wait.– Jordin Sparks

Aquarius/ Aquarius Rising (January 20 to February 18)

Card: Queen of Swords

This month it’s time to put your needs and well-being first. In the words of Ru Paul, “If you can’t love yourself, how in the hell you gonna love somebody else?” This means speaking up for yourself to challenge bosses or clients and taking PTO when needed.

Highlight: Stronger Than Yesterday

Prioritizing yourself by asking for what you need, whether a redistribution of labor on a specific project or a few much-needed vacation days, will allow you to recalibrate and come through the rest of the month stronger than ever.

Heads Up: Use Your Voice

The Queen of Swords reminds you to verbalize what you need to release lingering resentments. If a colleague or client has been taking advantage of your time or energy, speaking up is the only way to shift the situation.

Mantra: Be Good to Yourself.– Journey

Pisces/ Pisces Rising (February 19 to March 20)

Card: Ace of Cups

If you have been feeling uncharacteristically irritable over the past couple of weeks, The Ace of Cups shifts perspective with the nurturing water energy of Cancer season.

Highlight: Priority Shift

Almost as soon as July begins, you feel a weight lifted off you as the source of conflict or chaos at work becomes clearer (hint: it’s not yours to solve.) This clarity lets you release responsibilities you’ve been carrying for others and focus on your goals, leading to tremendous accolades from higher-ups by month’s end.

Heads Up: Heightened Senses

Because Pisces are the most intuitive sign in the zodiac, it is not surprising that you feel work tension more intensely than most. If departmental shifts or budget squeezes caused teammates to be on edge, you may have taken on their feelings as your own. The full moon in Capricorn on the 3rd brings some grounding clarity and inspires you to place boundaries between what energy is yours and what anxiety belongs to others.

Mantra: I can see clearly now. –Johnny Nash
